Junior Procurement Support Specialist

Our client a top-tier Management and Strategy Consulting firm is seeking to bring on several Procurement Support Specialists to support consulting projects/efforts with one of their Financial Services Banking end clients.

Sourcing Categories/Towers: Technology

  • Hardware, including desktops, laptops, servers, mainframe, and storage
  • Software, spanning desktop to mainframe, business unit-specific application software to core infrastructure and across all delivery models (e.g., on-premise, appliances and SaaS)
  • Telecom, including voice and data services, network equipment, exchange connectivity, multimedia, and sales & trading (e.g., turrets)
Non-Technology

  • Travel, HR (Learning and development, benefits, recruitment), Marketing & Events, Corporate Information Management and Sourcing Managed Commodities
  • Professional Services: consulting, outsourcing
  • Space and Occupancy: Design & Construction, Property Management (includes Facilities Management, Engineering Services, Project Management & Moves/Add/ Change Services), Real Estate & Location Strategy, Transaction Management, Security Services
Qualifications & Responsibilities:

  • 1 – 5 Years of associated experience
  • Manage business stakeholder expectations with regards to sourcing process
  • Explain sourcing process to stakeholders where necessary
  • Manage bids from initiation through contract signature and booking
  • Analyze bids for comparative and savings opportunity purpose
  • Ensure sourcing process is being followed by all stakeholders
  • Ensure all sourcing data points are captured timely and input into Ariba
  • Properly submit contracts to required reviewers (such as legal)
  • Negotiate pricing with suppliers to achieve savings, with management assistance where necessary
  • Review contracts, make changes and negotiate lower tier terms and conditions (except for where required) (with management assistance) where necessary
