Merger & Acquisitions Financial Modeling Professional (Contract)

Our client a boutique Investment Bank is interested in bringing on a Junior Mergers & Acquisitions Financial Modeling Professional within their Mergers & Acquisitions and Portfolio Development team. The ideal candidate has experience working within a Portfolio Development Team to model financial acquisition opportunities (valuations, sensitivity analysis, sources and uses of funding, return, metrics, scenarios, leverage buy outs (lob’s) etc.   Perform detailed and comprehensive financial valuation analysis, mergers and acquisitions, pro forma analysis, build vs. buy analysis, leveraged buyouts, etc. for business opportunities.  

Financial models should include (not limited to):   Dynamic Assumptions
  • Purchase price
  • Debt (senior/subordinated/mezzanine/etc., interest rate, term)
  • Financial assumptions of the business (revenue growth per revenue driver, margins, capex and NWC, etc.)
  • Economic assumptions (growth rate, inflation, etc.)
  Sources and uses of funding (cash/equity, debt, equity roll over, management retention plans, etc.) Projection of company´s financials
  • Balance sheet considering impact of debt/equity mix
  • Income Statement with detail on the main revenue and cost/expense drivers
  • Cash Flow Statement (showing how much debt can the company service)
  Base/Conservative/Synergistic scenarios Exit / Return metrics
  • IRR
  • MOIC
  • EBITDA multiple/company valuation
  Other Requirements
  • 2-4 Years of Experience
  • Prior experience working in Investment Banking
  • Proficiency with MS Excel Modeling
  • Ability to build complex financial models to analyze transactions is necessary
  • Leveraging CapitalIQ, Advanced MS Excel, PowerBI, and MS Access tools to conduct quantitative analyses is a plus
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Financial acumen related to M&A and corporate development projects (financial analysis, reporting, valuation, modeling)
