Operations Project Management / Business Analyst

CIB Americas Operations Process Management is a team that supports nine Operations units: • Control & Regulatory Oversight, • Product Control, • Derivatives Execution and Clearing, • Securities, Execution and Clearing, • Collateral Management and Treasury Liquidity & Forecasting Management. • Trade & Treasury Support • Financing Solution Operations • Credit Middle Office • MM/FX settlement The Process Management objective is to provide a set of services to implement Operations Units initiatives such as:
  • Subject Matter Expertise in product and operation knowledge,
  • Defining and implementing target operating model,
  • Process reengineering,
  • Systems improvement and enhancements.
Responsibilities Multidisciplinary in nature, the Project Manager / Business Analyst works autonomously or – for larger or Transversal projects - under the direction of another project manager and will be required to:
  • Continuously reconcile expectations of numerous stakeholders in the process (regional vs global, function vs business line)
  • Foster coordination and knowledge management on transversal undertakings across teams involved and across geographies
  • Develop project management plans including business requirements, test plans, risk assessments and communication strategy in coordination with relevant teams
  • Drive project(s) to their completion and manage risks inherent to execution or consequence of the changing context
  • Review work for completeness, accuracy and effectiveness of staff assigned to the project to ensure high level of qualify on all project deliverables
  • Act as support and work on ad hoc assignments as needed including, but not limited to, quantitative analysis, data consolidation and crunching, driving a specific part of the project end to end, prepare recommendation
  • Write procedures or other documentation to record rule analysis and impact assessment, flow charts, RACI analysis and other diagnostic documentation as well as business requirements and other design documents
  • Participate to the organization and preparation of Project and Steering Committees
  • Attend project meetings, prepare meeting notes and distribute to identified stakeholders
  • Produce project reports; request, collect, analyze, query, verify consistency and completeness and integrate weekly status reports from projects work streams
  • Collect project documentation and insure proper archiving in available project management information systems
  • Follow-up on the changes to project management plan and update project master plan
  • Follow-up with project managers to ensure timeline is being respected and deliverables are to be met on schedule
  • Keep updated action and issue logs, contact list, project distribution list and other registers
  • Perform quality assurance, insure the completeness and adequacy of deliverables

Qualifications & Requirements:  
  • 8 + years in Financial Services industry
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
  • Strong written and verbal communications
  • Product Knowledge:
    • Mexican Government Bonds, Repo (all financing activity),
    • FX (Spot, Futures, Forwards, Swaps & NDF’s on MXN vs G10currencies),
    • OTC & Exchange Traded Interest rate derivatives (MXN & currency swaps),
    • Interbank & IM/VM Loans & Deposits,
    • Unsecured lending & borrowing,
    • Demand deposit accounts.
  • Strong Knowledge on the front to back operational process
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Back office organization and infrastructure.
  • Ability to understand and direct workflow and process changes across all Operational teams.
  • Experience in project management for a company with a global footprint in a multicultural environment with large scale projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project)
  • Languages: French and/or Spanish
Preferred Additional Requirements:  
  • Experience in operations for Prime brokerage or delta 1 activities
  • In depth knowledge in equity swaps and/or portfolio swaps
  • Strong sense of risk and critical thinking
  • Display good relationship qualities, team spirit, and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • PMP certification a plus
